We just finished our course, “Corporatized,” at the MaybeLogicAcademy – and now we are migrating that group (and much of the traditional mediasquatters listserv community) over to the forums on this site to get into some more extended discussions.
These are some deeply smart and deeply experienced people, and I’m learning a whole lot from them. Engaging with folks who are ready and willing to restore the fabric of our society actually makes me optimistic for the future.

I just accepted a post at the New School University, teaching in the Media Studies Department. This should be a good thing for everyone.
I’ll be teaching my first course next Fall, Technologies of Persuasion. The beauty of the New School University’s model is that courses are not limited to those enrolled in a particular school or program – or even to full time students. So this means people from the real world can come in on an a la carte basis and just take my course. Meanwhile, grad students are exposed to people from the real world, already working in the industries we’re studying.
There will be an official announcement soon enough, but I thought I’d share the good news now, just in case anyone is arranging a schedule for Fall, or thinking of applying to the New School University.
I will be there.
