Disinfo is going to be publishing my graphic novel, Club Zero-G, next year. I’ll be creating some secret previews on this site. In meantime, you can find out about it here.
It was quite a change of pace for me to work on a project like this. So few words available to say so much. The restriction was great, though, and taught me a lot about how to say things with negative space – how to imply entire backstories and events with a single line or frame. It’s definitely the space between the frames where the story takes place.
And, of course, that little observation was at the heart of my whole study of both media and Judaism. So it’s nice to get to play with it as an artist/writer rather than just theorize about it.
